Stefan Behrisch is active worldwide as a composer, arranger, conductor and music producer. Great stylistic openness characterises his work and his approach to music.
His work includes orchestral productions with Jacob Collier, the musical theatre piece »Kassandra« by Christa Wolf, non-linear game music concerts for the Elbphilharmonie, film scores with Howard Shore, a new arrangement of the »Ring des Nibelungen« for the Cologne Opera, world music with Bokanté and much more.
He has worked with the LA Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Tonhalle Orchester Zürich, hr-Sinfonieorchester, Staatskapelle Dresden, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Konzerthaus Berlin, WDR Big Band and many others.
Many of the productions in which he has participated have been nominated for and won Grammy Awards and other prizes. Stefan Behrisch teaches as Professor of composition at the Dresden University of Music. He lives in Berlin.
