Steven Kenneth Bradshaw is a dual career artist receiving notoriety as both a Grammy-winning vocalist and as a dark-surrealist visual artist. He is a member of the internationally renowned, two-time Grammy-winning vocal group Roomful of Teeth and is a founding member of the four-time Grammy-winning ensemble The Crossing.
His performances can be heard on over 40 albums including Gabriel Kahane’s Elevator Songs with Roomful of Teeth. He premiered and recorded Place by composer Ted Hearne (commissioned by the LA Philharmonic) which became a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Music. The recording of the work earned him a Grammy nomination. He has had the privilege of premiering works by distinguished composers such as Caroline Shaw and Gavin Bryars. He released an album with composer Jacob Cooper on Cold Blue Music featuring their collaborative composition Sunrise.
He collaborated on two animated films featuring the music of David Lang: Stateless and Protect Yourself From Infection with filmmaker Brett Snodgrass. Both films were archived by The Library of Congress as cultural artifacts of the Pandemic era. He premiered Lifespan by conceptual art duo Allora and Calzadilla and gave over 300 performances of the work.
Bradshaw’s visual artwork has been featured on the Grammy-winning album Zealot Canticles by The Crossing and many others. He has exhibited his work in notable galleries, including La Luz De Jesus Gallery, Arch Enemy Arts, Colonna Contemporary, and Stephen Romano Gallery.
