We’re celebrating an anniversary! For 10 years now, the Beethovenfest Circle of Friends has been supporting the festival to bring exceptional concerts and artistic projects to life. But what exactly does the association’s involvement entail?
We set out to answer this question and accompanied Freundeskreis member Ursula on a special project: the one-to-one concerts at the Kulturbunker Bonn. Here, an artist performs music exclusively for a single listener in an intimate setting.
In 2026, the concert places will go to people who have no access to cultural events, or for whom access is difficult. In collaboration with the Bonn-based organisation f.em, women who have had breast cancer have already been able to benefit from the concerts. Seats have also been allocated to the charity Kulturtafel Bonn. The one-to-one concerts are made possible by funding from the Dr Hans Riegel Foundation and the provision of the venue by the Kulturbunker.
