In Arabic, »Nasmé« means »a breath of fresh air«. This inspiring group brings together five exceptional Palestinian musicians who present their own interpretations of European classical works. They hail from different parts of historic Palestine – a symbol of unity and harmony in the face of adversity. They have achieved a collaboration that often seems impossible due to political restrictions: they have founded an ensemble and realised their dream of performing their favourite classical pieces to audiences across Europe.

In January 2025, the ensemble toured the Canary Islands with five concerts, forging links with the local Palestinian community in the process. Nasmé also regularly performs at charity concerts for Palestine, including events organised by Make Freedom Ring, notably in Berlin in January 2025.

In the 2025/26 season, the ensemble will be performing at renowned venues and festivals, including the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, the Cinema Teatro Chiasso, the Sala Rodrigo at the Palau de la Música Valencia, the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin, and, at the start of the following season, at Beethovenfest Bonn.
